“Hello America”- A Man Laws Inauguration

Written by Brandon Rainey

Told through a powerful blend of monologue, music, movement, and raw testimony, Hello America follows the journey of eight Black men as they navigate love, identity, trauma, healing, and legacy. From the moment Adam takes his first breath, the play moves through time; stepping into boxing rings, barbershops, battlefields, school buildings, and prison cells. Along the way, we meet the ghosts of Trayvon Martin, Emmett Till, and Tamir Rice. We witness weddings, breakdowns, breakthroughs. And we ask: what does it really mean to be a man in America?

This piece is unapologetically and deeply human. It is unafraid to name systems of racism, masculinity, and silence—but it does so with empathy, poetry, and purpose. It is not just a confrontation. It is a communion. A bridge. A shared invitation to listen, feel, and reflect. With sold-out performances across Los Angeles County, Hello America has proven to be more than a play; it is a movement. A ritual. A reminder that survival sometimes requires going back to the beginning… and choosing to rise.

This is Black manhood: uncut, unfiltered, uncaged.

Born 2 Reign is a powerful theatrical production that fuses rap, R&B, gospel, spoken word, and cinematic storytelling into an unforgettable journey of purpose, leadership, faith, and destiny. Inspired by the biblical story of King David and reimagined through the lens of today’s culture, the production follows a young artist as he navigates ambition, friendship, betrayal, love, pressure, success, and the weight of becoming who he was born to be.

More than entertainment, Born 2 Reign creates meaningful conversations around identity, resilience, leadership, mental health, faith, and the challenges facing young people today. The production has engaged audiences across generations, serving as both a transformative artistic experience and a powerful tool for community engagement, youth development, and personal reflection.

Through original music, dynamic performances, and a message that bridges the church and the culture, Born 2 Reign inspires audiences to recognize that purpose often comes before position, and character must be developed long before the crown is worn.

Whether presented in theaters, schools, churches, conferences, or community spaces, Born 2 Reign continues to impact lives by reminding people of a simple truth:

Greatness is not something you achieve. It is something you grow into.
